Isabelle grew up spending summers on Cape Cod. She has explored and cherished this coastline all her life. She learned how to maneuver color and shape and fell in love with the quiet concentration of painting. On one visit home from college, she found a uniquely beautiful piece of driftwood while walking the Brewster Flats and decided to take it with her, imagining how to liven it up with paint as she walked home. Drawn back to Cape Cod after graduating, Isabelle combs the Cape’s beaches and woods for canvases and re-articulates the beauty of where they came from with paint and brush. Every piece has a story and reflects nature’s intertwining journeys.
